Opera 'Queen Jadwiga'
composed in the XX century is not well known and very rarely presented in the
opera houses.
According to the written sources, Queen Jadwiga was very fond of music. Inspired by religious,
wise books, she took care of creating an appropriate music climate in a
private and a public life. Although 'ordinary' music was listen to during
meals, as it was popular in that time, Queen Jadwiga's
personal preferences were toward religious, sublime music, containing
spiritual elements.
In today’s opera repertoire, which is dominated by
barbaric elements, cruelty and perversion, should be place for an opera work
that would fascinate the great piousness and the life devoted to God and to
the Nation. Opera based on the life of Great Monarch such as Queen Jadwiga could inspire many politicians how to serve their
Nations and God.
